Fun things to do for free or for less than $5 in San Antonio

Having fun can be expensive, especially if you have a family.

A ticket for a day of riding roller coasters at Six Flags Fiesta Texas will set you back $54.99 for a single ticket. And that doesn’t include the parking fee.

Your wallet, however, doesn’t need to take a hit every time you need entertainment or just want to take part in an activity like yoga.

In San Antonio, there are plenty of attractions and activities that a family or friends can do without breaking the bank. We’ve put together a slideshow of things that locals or visitors can do that are either free or under $5.

The slideshow, of course, includes two historic attractions closely associated with the city — the Alamo and the River Walk, both of which are free. Some may not even realize you can take a stroll through the Alamo for free.

There are also days you can visit a San Antonio museum for free or even go bowling at a fair price. So, if you are ever bored or short on cash, the slideshow above is a good way to find things to do in San Antonio for free or under $5.
