Pub Run San Antonio is returning in June after going virtual during shutdown

Every first Friday of the month, Pub Run San Antonio takes over downtown streets as groups of friends dress up in accordance to the planned themes and bar hop. Organizers hosted virtual events while bars were locked down in response to the coronavirus pandemic, but are now planning to return to the streets on June 5.

A Facebook event page says the June theme is “Qua-run-tine” and invites people to dress in their favorite outfit worn during the lockdown. Organizers provided a wide variety of examples, including pajamas, “Tik Tokers” and H-E-B employees. The group also included a list of guidelines like wearing a mask, bringing hand sanitizer and washing your hands as much as possible.

The event will launch at Pat O’Briens at 7 p.m. Friday, June 5. Other bars will be added as their plans for reopening are announced.

Pub Run reminded guests to comply with the 25 percent occupancy rule without complaining and to practice social distancing.
