Common Kings will headline two nights at City National Grove of Anaheim’s Drive-In OC – Daily News

Grammy-nominated Orange County reggae band Common Kings will headline two evenings at City National Grove of Anaheim’s Drive-In OC series July 17-18.

Tickets are $200-$350 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3 at Price is by vehicle, which can include up to six patrons. Both shows begin at 7 p.m.

Common Kings hail from Costa Mesa and its debut album, “Lost in Paradise” was nominated in the best reggae album category at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in 2017. The band is influenced by a variety of artists including Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, The Who, Gypsy Kings, Bob Marley and Earth Wind and Fire. Common Kings have also been tapped to support major acts like Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor and Justin Timberlake.

Nederlander Concerts is hosting the all-ages series, which will feature movies, concerts and more in the venue parking lot. Earlier this month, it was announced that Dana Point-native Andrew McMahon would headline three evenings at the drive-in July 10-12 in celebration of the 15th anniversary of his band, Jack’s Mannequin’s, “Everything in Transit.”

Drive-In OC will offer the most contactless experience possible including entry, ticketing, concessions and restrooms.

Event staff will be wearing proper PPE including masks and gloves. Masks are not mandatory for concertgoers while within their vehicle spaces, but they must be worn while using the restrooms.
