A San Antonio dad has gone viral on Twitter for his stylish ways after turning his pocket inserts into a face mask to match his work tie.

Kiana Montgomery posted pictures of her fashionable father Steve Montgomery with his matching masks and ties on her Twitter account on Wednesday, not knowing so many people would love it. The tweet has more than 8,000 retweets and around 58,000 likes as of Thursday.

“I didn’t think it would get that viral, I thought it would be a few people,” Kiana told mySA.com. “I don’t have that many followers so I was shocked.”

Her father told mySA.com he was also “stunned” that people loved his idea. He only recently started matching the two pieces of clothing a few days ago. He said his girlfriend created his face coverings by using his pocket inserts and materials, like the nose bridge and elastic strings, from other masks.

“I’m known for matching and I criticize people at work for not matching, so I really wanted to make this happen,” he said. “I just didn’t think I would go viral. My daughter told me I was going viral and I was like ‘what does the even mean.'”

Several people commented on Kiana’s tweet, writing that Steve’s matching sets are “cute” and “creative.”

“I like where this dad is going. Like yes. Let’s make it a thing where men have to match their mask with their tie. 2020 fashion for the win,” one person commented.

“Dad is bringing the Wholesome dad vibe this pandemic needs,” another wrote.

Kiana said her followers should stay tuned as her dad will be sending her more photos of his matching sets later this week.
